![]() ![]() Windows 10 for whatever reason has multiple layers of abstraction and interfaces between its graphics resources and disk drives layers which simply didn’t exist in the golden days of Geocities websites and 3D Pinball Space Cadet. Surely the aim of operating system upgrades should be to open up the user experience rather than locking off certain applications, making them only playable via a stack of emulators running within virtual machines running on emulators? His answer was long and technical (and I’ve forgotten most of it) but what it boils down to is that the architecture of Windows 10 is so different from Windows 98 that running a game designed for one on the other would be similar to trying to run a Mac application on a PC. You may have to fight our other Neflix executive to get your Zelda series greenlit! Do you think you’d make it live action or cartoon-style? Would you make it gritty and GoT-like or light hearted? I finally tried Undertale recently ago (and made a few rambly profile posts about it) - I honestly don’t see how it got so popular, would you care to elaborate what appeals to you about it? Would you give Shadow of War a different spin to set it apart from the LoTR series or would you keep it similarly gritty and realistic? I really liked how the game gave bitesized clues as to the lore of the game, but largely left most of it to the player’s imagination. And an STS series would be epic! Especially if they kept the 2D style of the game, or maybe borrowed Darkest Dungeon’s art style. I might/might not be writing this from under my bed while listening to the ominous march of jackboots outside… but that’s pretty much par for the course on a Friday night in East Anglia at pub closing time. ![]()
